Self Right Systems
Designed for Crew Safety
HG Marine supplies and installs self-righting systems for RIBs and inflatable boats using industry-leading components from Leafield Marine. These systems are designed to improve crew safety by enabling a capsized vessel to return to an upright position.
Self-righting systems are commonly used on commercial, rescue, and safety boats, where rapid recovery after capsize is critical. Each system is specified to suit the boat’s size, tube layout, and operating environment.
What We Offer
- Servicing of self-righting bags and systems
- Use of proven Leafield Marine valves and fittings
- Integration with existing tube layouts and collars
- Specific made Hoses
- Inspection, servicing, and replacement of existing systems
- Certification & Traceability.
Booking & Annual Maintenance
To book a self-righting system service with HG Marine, simply contact us to discuss your vessel and its existing system. We’ll arrange a suitable time to inspect the boat, either as part of a wider refit or as a standalone service. Once booked in, the system is fully checked, serviced where required, and any worn or time-expired components are identified and replaced with compatible, industry-approved parts.
Self-righting systems should be inspected and serviced annually to ensure continued reliability, particularly on commercial and safety-critical vessels. Annual maintenance typically includes inspection of hoses, bottles, operating heads, penetrators, and fittings, along with checks of bags, valves, and inflation lines. Regular servicing helps prevent failures caused by corrosion, fatigue, or degradation, ensuring the system will operate correctly when it is needed most..
